We had the good fortune of connecting with Trent Rowland and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Trent, what do you want your legacy to be?
I feel like I want people to think of me as someone who was able to connect with their heart. As an artist, I really value the ability to show my heart to people. It feels like the most valuable thing I have to offer, so I’d love to bring it into the light and see if it can help anyone. I don’t know if I’ve been successful or will be successful, but I want to try!

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Silver Cave is a rock/metal project. The idea is to bring aggressive, heavy music together with melodic, intimate vocals. It’s a genre that I like to call “Singer-songwriter Metal”. I am still building my presence online and steadily releasing music. Even up to this point, things have not been easy, but my desire to get my heart out there allows me to keep on trying.
When it comes to overcoming those challenges, I try to keep that goal in mind and enjoy the journey of getting there. That’s most of what this all is anyway!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Oh wow! I am, admittedly, a bit of a homebody, so I may not have THE COOLEST recommendations of all time! But there ARE a few spots that I really love! So I live in Columbus, OH, and love some of the cool, quiet spots in the city.
I would take them to Old Dublin on the west side to hit up some awesome bars and restaurants like The Dublin Village Tavern and North High Brewing.
We could go to German Village south of downtown and take a peaceful lil walk around Schiller Park or The Book Loft and then grab dinner at Schmidt’s for some great german food.
People don’t realize that there are great venues in Columbus for live music as well. Some of my favorites are Kemba Live for bigger shows and Big Room Bar and Spacebar for smaller ones!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
One person that I would love to shoutout is Alessandro Marquez! He was the first musician to collaborate with me on Silver Cave and really gave me the courage to pursue it! He is a great drummer and audio engineer. He continues to do great work!
