Meet Tyler Tittle | Creative Writer & Entrepreneur

We had the good fortune of connecting with Tyler Tittle and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Tyler, do you have a favorite quote or affirmation?
“This too shall pass.” A famous Persian adage that was also used by Mr. Abraham Lincoln in a speech in 1859 that perfectly describes the conditions of suffering. My Grandma used to say this to me all the time growing up whenever anything unfortunate would arise, and after her passing, I added my own twist to the adage: “this too shall pass, it may pass like a kidney stone, but it will pass.”
It serves as a daily reminder that no matter how bad things feel or appear to be, I know that eventually, it will pass away and that gives me such courage and strength to continue pressing through the bad.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My work touches on everything that is considered taboo in life, all the undesirables, the unpleasantries, and things that make your skin crawl. I wish I could say my poetry was in the realm of fiction, but some of the stories are from personal experience and thrown into prose.
Upon completing the self-publishing route of my first book, The Wolf’s Bane, I realized just how challenging it was (and also expensive) to market yourself and get yourself out there in order to attract customers. I also realized, why would people buy my book when they could follow me on social media and get spoken video versions of what is contained in the book, so I had to start strategizing differently for the second book.
The second book, The Wolf’s Ascension will feature an entire collection of unreleased work that has not seen any of my social media, so it will be 100% brand new to any one who appreciates my style of work. At the same time this book has been in production, I have also partnered with a local small-business and will be handcrafting items through her.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We would have to stop at the nearest Skyline to introduce them to our Cincinnati delicacy, 100%. If they weren’t hungry, too bad! We would spend a decent bit of time throughout the week downtown and in Over-the-Rhine.
Dining: The Eagle, Bakersfield, Sacred Beast are definitely must-go’s.
Bars / Night-Life: Topgolf, The Post, Third Eye Brewing, Mad Tree Brewing, Second Story Bar, and 16 Bit.
Would have to go visit Fountain Square, Ault Park, Eden Park, and Washington Park and then head to the conservatory for plant fun.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
The first shoutout has to go to my immediate family for not only putting up with me, but for encouraging me to throw caution to the wind and put myself out there and be completely vulnerable to the world. My Grandma, even though she isn’t with us physically anymore, was the main encouragement for me to pursue any sort of writing and utilize the gab for words I have been gifted with. The second shoutout would be to the developers and creators of the platform TikTok. I originally was just a content watcher at first, but with this platform I have figured out how to get my poetry out there not just in written form, but spoken as well.
The third would be to another writer and poet that I discovered on TikTok who inspired me to start sharing some of my work. In all of the craziness that the world is and showing how small it is, we ended up being from the same city.
On top of these main three, it would be all of my friends, lovers both current and past, and for life in general and all of its chaos and joy. Everything has been a muse for me to write about from heartbreak to the changing of the leaves colors.
