Meet Wayne Rhoden | Father Goose Music

We had the good fortune of connecting with Wayne Rhoden and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Wayne, why did you pursue a creative career?
I did not pursue an artistic or creative career it pursued me; from an early age, I was told that I had to gift to entertain people yes to change someone’s emotion from a bad day to a great day, and from then on, I made it my duty each day to put a smile on someone’s face.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
One thing about Father Goose Music it’s a One-Stop shop where we do everything in-house, we have music production, video production, and also, a great set of musicians that make up the band. People may try to label us as children’s music, but truth be told we target the entire family, and it’s amazing when parents would say sometimes alone in the car there would be jamming to our music, so little things like that, I think, kind of set us apart. A few days ago, I was extremely excited when someone sent my musical partner Vic a video of someone jamming on the beach in Puerto Rico with two of our songs, and making positive music that tends to inspire the mind such as “I Can Make It” & “Live Your Life” etc. Also, songs about my true-life story such as “Calling Me” which is about whatever new venture I try or no matter where I go in the world something about the music keeps calling me back and the song “16 Victoria Street” where I was born, it’s about a simple country boy against all odds turned his dream into reality and for that I’m proud. Teamwork, I have a very small team such as Denise Dee, Shaun Walsh (Whatz Up N.Y.), Steve A Williams (Raintiger), Staccs Nino, Bendji Allonce, Danger D. Danni Ai, Nathaly Ramirez, Eric Abbey, Chris Brady, Vic Rosario, my son Irie Goose and with the grace of God we get a lot done, so I always have to shout them out. It was never an easy road but I’m thankful that I inherited being a workaholic from my parents, so I always tend to push forward even at times when there is no light at the end of the tunnel, just keep on plowing through. The most important lesson that I’ve learned is that every failure is a learning lesson of what not to do also it’s good to earn a living with something you’re passionate about. What I would like the world to know is that I made music from my heart music that is positive and also to inspire everyone and to make sure it’s not dated so 10, 20, 50 years from now you could still enjoy the music.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
