We had the good fortune of connecting with Yung Frost and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Yung, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking.
Thats a great question!! Risk is a fascinating concept. It’s like standing at a crossroads, unsure of which path to take. One road seems familiar, safe, and predictable. The other, less traveled, promises the unknown. The challenge lies in deciding which path to choose, especially when our minds play tricks on us, convincing us we know more than we do. Intuition, on the other hand, is a powerful force that can guide us beyond the realm of logic. It’s a feeling, a sense of knowing that transcends rational thought. In my career, I’ve always trusted my intuition over intellectual certainty. I’ve taken risks, not because I knew they would work out, but because I felt they were the right choices.
Ultimately, the greatest risk is playing it safe. By stepping outside of our comfort zones and embracing the unknown, we open ourselves up to incredible opportunities and personal growth. It’s a gamble, yes, but one that can pay off in extraordinary ways.”**

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I believe three qualities have been instrumental in shaping who I am: ambition, resilience, and determination.

Ambition isn’t just about liking what I do; it’s about a deep-seated passion. It’s not self-belief, but self-assurance. I don’t think I can be successful; I know I will be.

Resilience means refusing to let setbacks, obstacles, or adversity derail my progress. Life inevitably throws curveballs, but the true test is how you bounce back and persevere.

Determination is about staying focused and committed to my goals, even when distractions arise. It’s about distinguishing between wants and needs. Material possessions and fleeting pleasures are temporary; building lasting value and securing resources are essential.
The journey to mastering these qualities has been arduous, filled with countless trials and errors. But it’s through these challenges that I’ve grown and evolved.

To aspiring artists, entrepreneurs, and dreamers, I say: Don’t fear failure. Embrace it as a stepping stone to success. Never give up, no matter how tough it gets. And always pursue your passions with unwavering dedication. Doing what you love isn’t just a job; it’s your destiny.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I’ve had the privilege of exploring every nook and cranny of this vibrant city. While its bustling restaurants, shops, and nightlife scene is undeniably exciting, the true magic lies in its often-overlooked natural beauty

If you’re seeking tranquility and a connection with nature, I highly recommend visiting Three Rivers Park, Blacklick Park, or Bicentennial Park. These serene green spaces are particularly enchanting during the late fall and winter months.

When it comes to dining, Columbus offers a diverse culinary scene. Some of my favorite local spots include Big Mal’s Linden Cafe, Quaker Steak & Lube, and Short North Tavern.”**

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I dedicate this to my beloved brother, Deron Overton, known to many as D1 of Circle of Bosses. D1 was more than family; he was a true friend, a constant supporter, and a relentless believer in my potential. Of all the people I’ve encountered, he was one of the most authentic and loyal.

He fearlessly expressed his love and support, even during disagreements. His loyalty was unwavering, and he consistently pushed me to strive for greatness. He saw a spark in me that I often couldn’t see myself. His faith ignited my passion, and I know he would be incredibly proud of my accomplishments.

Though he’s physically absent, his spirit endures. I carry his memory with me, and his love continues to inspire me.
