Our Linked Prosperity: how local businesses are helping their communities

Most of the media often paints all businesses with a single stroke, but in our experience businesses are each unique and so many of them are focused on making the world a better place. Weβve highlighted a few such gems below.
ππππππππ helps our community by partnering up with local vendors and sourcing our ingredients from local businesses in the northeast Ohio area. We also educate those that are interested about our animals that are considered endangered species in our northeast Ohio area, what conservations they have last been spotted at, and what we can do to help conserve endangered species in our environment. We also help ππ₯π¨πππ₯π₯π² by educating our audience on the importance of recycling, encouraging them to minimalize the use of plastics, understanding ingredients and what ingredients to avoid as pertaining to skincare. Literacy Innovations, LLC helps the community by creating a community of readers and lifelong learners. I am passionate about literacy and I lead by example. I can always be caught reading and I encourage everyone I meet to read at least thirty minutes daily. I have participated in various literacy initiatives, such as Read Across America Day and the Xprize competition since starting Literacy Innovations. The most recent campaign is Cleveland Reads. The goal of Cleveland Reads is for Clevelanders to read one million books during 2023. I am a neighborhood reading ambassador for the Collinwood community and I encourage residents to read and log their books. I also help them register for the challenge. Read more>>
OutSCIder Classroom is all about getting kids excited to learn science and to protect our public lands. We do this by producing a video series that teaches science concepts best exemplified in our national parks. As a former science teacher myself, I understand the need to connect content with curriculum, which is why all our videos are tired directly to the standards. In addition to videos, we also create lesson plans to give educators the tools to connect their classrooms to our national parks and to make them amazing places to learn.
