Meet Nay Dismore | Owner, Snacks With A Twist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Nay Dismore and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Nay, we’d love to start by asking you about lessons learned. Is there a lesson you can share with us?
Always be honest and upfront about everything. Whether it’s dealing with a difficult employee, customer or vendor – don’t try to bend the truth in any situation. Even when a customer is trying to squeeze you for a better price or more product, be upfront and it works best for you in the long term.
What should our readers know about your business?
We are a Hospitality driven gourmet snack company. We have specialty flavored pretzels, bark, spreads, gourmet Pops and candies all with a Twist. We do free Tastings, have a fundraiser program that gives back 40% and we do beautiful food and gift packaging for individuals, corporations and Ministries. We have done our business without debt and have grown it a good pace which helped us through having to fire our copacker, find a new commercial kitchen and through covid. We care about every batch of our products and taste test them – if it doesn’t taste right, it’s tossed.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Starting in our town – first to Hangry City Cafe for lunch, then downtown Pickerington to the shop at Ruby Joy Boutique. Later for coffee and snack at Sorso Coffee. Hit our Zoo for the lights in the evening. Dinner in Baltimore at Papitos Kitchen. From the Bubbly Hall in New Albany to the North Market, the Franklin Observatory to Schmidt’s in German Village, I have a full itinerary for all of our guests.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
First, my husband, Terry – he is my cheer leader, help and inspires me every day to get better! I launched our business through the ECDI and Food Fort. Without their education and walking with me through all of the processes – I wouldn’t have been prepared for navigating my company.
