Meet Emily LaCivita | Event Designer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Emily LaCivita and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Emily, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
When I think about success and business, it can be overwhelming to measure. For me I always feel my best when I am being authentic and showcasing my personality. I feel that sharing more about yourself can be a great tool for connecting with my clients and creating an open line of communication. When clients feel comfortable and heard that can foster lasting impressions and I have found that word of mouth and past client referrals has been a great asset for my business growth.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Our philosophy is to provide curated event experiences to modern couples, and we aim for each event design to translate into something that feels true to a couples unique style and story. Our team specializes in an array of designs such as modern chic, vintage, art deco and bold bohemian, so there is truly something for everyones vision. My business brand is all about authenticity and representation and we take pride in our diverse skills and how this reflects in our clientele. With a background in venue management and years of event detailing, coordination and execution, Electric Love Events offers expertise and valued industry relationships to guide you through the planning process and assist with securing your dream vendor team.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Cincinnati is quite diverse and has a lot to offer locals and visitors alike. Some of my favorite spots that embody the energy of the city for great eats are: Pep & Delores, Pho lang tang, Arnolds Bar & Grill, Scottis Italian, ,Sotto. For cocktails with friends: The blind Lemon, Sommerset, Lost & Found, comfort station and Bar saeso. For fun & entertainment: Music Hall, washington park, Icon music center, city flea markets, Ghost baby.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
It may be cliche’ but my husband has been my biggest support system throughout my business journey. Over the course of a decade, I have day dreamed about owning my own company and bounced many ideas off of him and there was never a lack of encouragement. When it finally came time to make the leap and get my LLC, it was a decision I couldn’t make without the notion that I had someone behind me and I am so thankful I did.
