Meet Kevin Carter | Hip Hop artist, Cybersecurity Engineer, improv theater Co-Owner

We had the good fortune of connecting with Kevin Carter and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kevin, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
I think the most important factor is that I continue to always know and believe in what my purpose is. And to continue to be selfless and treat everyone fair.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am a hip hop artist and an improviser. They both work hand in hand with each other and help me achieve the other at a high level. It was never hard to be on stage in front of people but improv have helped me relax and be more vulnerable with the crowd. Not being afraid to be personable and showing the human side of myself. I want people to know and see how much I care about people through my music. How much I promote and care about self love and being there for other people.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We would eat at Tony and Pete’s and I would take them to The Barrel House, Tender Mercy, or The Reserve on Third for drinks. And for entertainment of course I would take them to The Black Box Improv Theater. The Levitt Pavillion and the MetroParks Riverscape always have concerts and festivals all summer long.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My shoutout would be the city of Dayton Ohio. This city has had my back and always been there when I needed them. I created the “For Dayton By Dayton” festival for that reason and Dayton continues to show me that it has my back.
