Meet Ariel Gamm | Local Life + Style Content Creator

We had the good fortune of connecting with Ariel Gamm and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Ariel, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
This actually started as a hobby for me. I’ve always been an open book and a big fan of social media, so content creation felt like a natural fit. When my dad was diagnosed with stage IV pancreatic cancer just six weeks before my wedding in January 2023, it made me realize I needed a creative outlet. A friend who had gone through something similar suggested I try content creation, and once the wedding planning was behind me and I was looking for a new project, I figured there was no time like the present to give it a try.
I started in August of 2023 strictly for fun. It was a fulfilling way to connect with others, share my life, and engage with people who had been through similar challenges. As time went on, it naturally turned into a nice little side gig. After my dad passed away in February of this year, working on campaigns and projects gave me something positive to focus on during my time of grief—something to look forward to and a reason to get out of the house.
The flexibility of being a content creator has been great—when things start to feel overwhelming, I take a step back, slow down, and only take on as much as I’m comfortable with. But at the end of the day, it’s been incredibly fun, and what started as a hobby has turned into something I truly enjoy!
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I create content focused on local life and style, blending topics like travel, beauty, food + beverage, decor, pets, and wellness. My goal is to share a variety of content that resonates with my followers—whether it’s discovering hidden gems in Cincinnati, sharing exciting adventures outside of Cincinnati, or reviewing products that genuinely align with my lifestyle. I strive to keep my content engaging, relatable, and fun, offering inspiration for everything from a cozy night at home to exploring new local spots or shopping for the season’s latest finds.
One of the most rewarding aspects of this work is connecting with my audience. I love interacting with my followers through DMs and comments—it’s about more than creating content; it’s about fostering a genuine sense of community. Hearing their feedback, sharing experiences, and offering recommendations has been such a joy and keeps me motivated.
Over time, I’ve been fortunate to collaborate with incredible brands like Riedell Skates, Olipop, Topgolf, Brutus Broth, Reverie, ShelbyKY Tourism, Ford’s Garage, and SoYum Candle Co., among others. These partnerships have allowed me to share products and services I genuinely enjoy and trust. Seeing the excitement and positive responses from my audience when I share these collaborations makes the work even more fulfilling. I’m also thrilled about upcoming projects with brands I admire and can’t wait to share them soon.
What sets me apart is my commitment to authenticity and genuine connection. I’m not just curating content—I’m sharing real pieces of my life, my passions, and my community. My focus on engaging directly with my audience, whether it’s through conversations in DMs, responding to comments, or sharing behind-the-scenes moments in my stories, creates a personal connection that makes my content feel more like a two-way dialogue.
Above all, I think my willingness to share life authentically—highlighting both the highs and the lows—resonates deeply with my audience. It’s not always picture-perfect, but that’s what makes it real. My followers know they can trust me to keep it honest, and that trust is what I value most. When I create content I’m genuinely excited about, it connects because it’s relatable and true to who I am. People connect with people—not just polished campaigns or perfectly curated posts.
What I’m most proud of is the community I’ve built and the impact my content has had. Seeing my followers try new local spots I’ve recommended, discover products they now love, or reach out to share their thoughts is incredibly fulfilling. I’m equally proud of the partnerships I’ve secured with brands I believe in and admire. Representing these brands is an honor and a responsibility I take seriously, as it reflects my ability to put myself out there and connect in a meaningful way.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
When visiting Cincinnati, there’s so much to explore and enjoy, no matter the season. Start your day with a coffee from Deeper Roots Coffee or Proud Hound Coffee, then fuel up with breakfast at The Bagelry for fresh bagels or grab a pastry at Sebastian Bakehouse. Dive into the city’s rich cultural scene by exploring iconic locations such as the Cincinnati Museum Center, home to exhibits from the Holocaust and Humanity Center, the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center, or the colorful American Sign Museum. For a shopping break, browse unique finds at The Native One, Leeli + Lou, or Camargo Trading Company.
Food lovers can enjoy hearty meals at Pepp & Dolores, Jeff Ruby’s Steakhouse, or Losanti for a more upscale experience, while casual favorites include Cincinnati classics like Skyline, Graeter’s, or Carl’s Deli. For something different, indulge in delicious wine and bites at Ripple Wine Bar, Covalt Station, or Mellotone Beer Project. Drinks and nightlife options abound, with standout spots like Ghost Baby or Somerset Bar, or the timeless charm of the Bar at Palm Court or The Blind Lemon.
For outdoor fun, head to Over-the-Rhine or The Banks for vibrant city vibes. Sports enthusiasts can catch a Cyclones hockey game or join a Bengals game tailgate, while adventure seekers might enjoy ice skating at Fifty West, strolling with the dogs at Rheinstrom Park, or grabbing lunch and a beer along the river at Little Miami Brewing Co. or the Rusk Kitchen + Bar igloos. Don’t forget seasonal favorites like the Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Garden Festival of Lights, which adds a magical touch during the holidays.
Whether you’re enjoying brunch at Cafe Alma, taking a cooking class at Tablespoon Cooking Co., or exploring Jungle Jim’s, Cincinnati is filled with memorable experiences that highlight the city’s unique charm.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’d definitely like to give a shoutout to my friend Ronnie at @glowasyougoblog. She encouraged me to just go for it and has been such a great resource over the past year and a half.
I also want to recognize my family—my husband Cody, who’s been my right-hand man and my biggest cheerleader, my mom and sister, who are always plugging my page and being the ultimate hype queens, and of course, my dad, who always pushed me to do what made me happy.
Lastly, I have to thank my followers and the brands I’ve worked with. Without them, none of this would be possible. Their support and trust have helped me turn this hobby into something more.
