We had the good fortune of connecting with Ashley Jamison and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ashley, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
The thought process behind starting this business stemmed from recognizing a lack of tailored resources and support for Black women on their wellness and healing journeys. As a clinical therapist and author, I’ve seen the need for a space that acknowledges their unique experiences. This business was created to help Black women embrace their enoughness and find healing paths that resonate with them. I’m thrilled to offer a community with insightful content, resources, and a holistic approach to wellness, aligning with my mission to empower and uplift Black women authentically.

What should our readers know about your business?
Healing Through Melody Wellness is a holistic space designed to support Black women’s wellness journeys through a comprehensive approach to self-care and healing. My business offers a wealth of resources, insightful content, and a holistic approach, integrating CBT, EMDR, motivational interviewing, and mindfulness. Healing Through Melody Wellness creates a supportive space for exploring inner selves, embracing worth, and finding balance, emphasizing transformative practices that promote emotional healing, self-discovery, and overall well-being.

I’m thrilled to announce the publication of my first journal, Heal, Queen, designed specifically for Black women. This journal offers a unique approach to self-care with 5-minute activities, self-care assessments, and daily check-ins tailored to empower and support your journey. Heal, Queen is crafted to honor and reflect the experiences of Black women, providing a space to embrace your enoughness and nurture your well-being with intention and grace.

I’m most excited about the representation that Healing Through Melody Wellness brings. Seeing myself in the women I help and offering a space where their unique experiences are reflected and honored is at the heart of my commitment. This authentic connection is what makes the work truly meaningful and impactful.
