Meet Austin Hitte | Artist Developer, Music Producer, Engineer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Austin Hitte and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Austin, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
Risk taking is an essential part of making growth! All of my biggest successes thus far in my career are in direct correlation to the largest leaps of faith. Whether it was moving away from my family and friends in my small hometown, or renting a larger venue, taking a risk is almost always necessary to elevate your current situation. I grew up in a small town with little opportunity. Most of my community was stricken with mundane lifestyles, and low wages. It took a ton of self confidence, but once I was able to take the first step out of my comfort zone everything started to fall into place. Now let’s not get it twisted… there were countless setbacks and roadblocks that I had to face, but with the newfound confidence to explore came new collaborations and the ability to see life through a new lens. With that in mind, I try to take that outlook into my everyday life. I hope to live a life of fulfilling opportunities and uncomfortable growth.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I’m just a creative soul… I try not to make things too complicated. I feel like when I force situations to go a certain direction, or set my intentions too directly things seem to always muddy the water. My current goal is to find and build my target audience surrounding my company “TipsyGoatRecords”. We focus on coordinating events, developing artists, and releasing quality music. We typically focus our efforts towards the HIP-HOP or RNB genres, but our artist roster can range anywhere from Rap to Southern Gospel.
Our next major event is being held at Classic Victorys On February 10th! “Lovers Revenge” will be the 2nd annual Valentines HipHop show. The night will feature 8 Columbus artists, 3 local business vendors, and several other attractions. You can purchase tickets using the link below! We hope to see you there, any support is very much appreciated

Our business model is based from absolute transparency, and community based coordination. I believe that building meaning relationships through honesty should be a main pillar in the foundation of my career moving forward. Much of the music industry is a fabrication of the truth, or an embellished version of real life. However, I feel like seeing the natural growth and progression of a small artist is something that allows listeners to feel related and connected to their favorite up and coming creatives. I don’t necessarily have all the answers yet, slowly but surely I am Inching towards the goals I want to reach. One day at a time
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Theres are so many great places and things to experience, so I think It would best to start a list (in no particular order)
1. The eagle. There is just something about some good soul food that I can truly appreciate! I love those candied Yams!!!
2. The Kutt Records. My personal favorite spot for a good musical deep dive. Head over to 2358 W. Broad and spend my evening looking for soul samples, and chopping it up with the owner DJ Zerg about EVERYTHING music history. A true pillar in the columbus Music scene.
3. Tuttle Skate Park. One of the illest skateparks around the area! Really close to OSU campus, and the downtown area. You can hit the gas station for some drinks, and spend the night learning some new ledge tricks.
4. Plants and Tings. My house is basically a botanical garden. I love horticulture, and i’m always looking to add a new rare houseplant to my recording studio. When in Doubt, I head over to Groveport and Talk to the professionals! 5640 Groveport Rd. Unit 4
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Firstly I would like to thank my incredible team of mentors! Jacob Brown, Cisco Perkins, Jacob Leer, and Chase Martinez. These dudes are always helping me out. Whether it’s showing me the ropes, or throwing golden opportunities my way, they always have my back, and are leading me in the right direction!
