Hi Da’Shea, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Starting my own business was rooted in purpose and passion. I knew I wanted more than just a job. I wanted to create something meaningful that aligned with who I am at my core. As someone deeply invested in healing and personal growth, that’s when I saw the vision for Healing Heartstrings. I didn’t want to clock in and follow someone else’s script. I wanted to create my own story. One where I could serve people from the heart, on my terms, and to show my children what’s possible when you follow your calling. Opening my business is about creating a legacy, building something that I could be proud of, and waking up every day knowing I was walking in my purpose.

What should our readers know about your business?
Healing Heartstings isn’t just a brand, it’s a calling. I created this space with one mission in mind: to help others reconnect with themselves through intentional healing, energy work, and self-care. As a Reiki Practitioner, my business blends spiritual wellness that creates an experience that nourishes both the inner and outer self.

What sets Healing Heartstrings apart is the energy. Every session, product, and interaction is rooted in authenticity, love, and presence. I don’t just offer services, I offer safe spaces for people to be seen, heard, supported, and spiritually aligned. Whether I’m providing Reiki, a wellness consult, or curating self-care tools for teens and adults, My goal is to help people feel lighter, more connected, and empowered to heal.

What I’m most proud of is growth: both mine and my clients. Watching clients walk in heavy and leave with a renewed sense of peace is everything. I’m excited about expanding my services, eventually leading to retreats and wellness events that pour into the mind, body, and soul.

But getting here wasn’t easy. I’ve faced doubt, setbacks, and seasons of uncertainty. I had to choose myself when it wasn’t convenient, and to keep going even when fear tried to silence me! What got me through was my why, my children, my fiancé, my purpose, and the people I knew needed what I had to offer. Faith, discipline, and community helped me push past every obstacle.

What I’ve learned is that healing isn’t linear, for me or the clients I serve. Boundaries are love. Success is built in the quiet moments when no one is clapping, for you keep showing up anyway.

Healing Heartstrings was born from real life. From struggle, self-discovery, and deep desire to help others transform from the inside out. This isn’t just a business, it’s my heart in service. I hope that every session leaves people feeling more whole than when they arrived.
