We had the good fortune of connecting with Gregory Q Lee and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Gregory Q, why did you pursue a creative career?
I pursued a creative career because it’s in my DNA. I inherited musical and creative abilities from my parents and extended family, so it was only a matter of time before I tapped into the creative genius God gave me. I credit my parents for truly encouraging and pushing me to embrace my talents.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Reviv Digital collectively holds over 20 years (freelance and business) in the creative industry, delivering exceptional graphic design, printed products, web design, video editing, and more. Our journey began with a passion for creativity and a vision to transform the digital landscape. We’ve built a reputation as a trusted partner for brand development and digital marketing. Notable clients include The E.W. Scripps Company, Provident Label Group (Sony), Entertainment One, MRNK (Nashville), and most recently, Global Hair Care and Innovation at Procter & Gamble.

Our journey began with humble beginnings. I started freelancing at the age of 16. My mother was working at the Radisson Hotel in Cincinnati. They didn’t have an internal marketing department, so her manager gave her a license for Adobe Photoshop version 5. She brought it home and told me to learn how to use it. I was so intrigued that I spent hours every day mastering the software. I became proficient, and soon my mother convinced her manager to let me design a few ad campaigns for the hotel. That opportunity led to me designing magazine ads for a bridal show held at the hotel every year. Yes, I had my first magazine ad designs published in a regional bridal magazine!

The road was not easy, being a young newcomer in this industry, but starting early allowed me to get ahead of the learning curve. By 11th grade, I was attending vocational school to pursue interactive media (graphic arts). I faced many challenges even as an adult, but I overcame them through prayer, resilience, constant self-study, and accountability to my mentors. I want the world to know that your passion will lead you to your calling. I have a great passion for helping people walk into their purpose, utilizing creative strategies and methods to achieve it.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
When my best friend lands in Cincinnati, the first stop is definitely LaRosa’s Pizza. My best friend loves it, so it’s a no-brainer. After enjoying some top-notch pizza, we’ll head to Kenwood Mall for some shopping.

Throughout the week, we’ll dive into the downtown nightlife, starting at Pins Mechanical Co., where we can bowl and game. If there’s a game on, catching the Reds or Bengals live would be epic.

As music enthusiasts, we’ll visit Everybody’s Music to dig through their collection and catch a few music shows. We prefer smaller venues with indie and B & C list artists, so Ludlow Garage and Bogarts are on the list for an up-close concert experience.

To amp up the adrenaline, we’ll hit the gun range and try some speed racing.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My parents, Greg and Tracy Lee, are my rocks. They invested in and nurtured me, and I still depend on their wisdom. They support me 100%, and I love them times infinity! Shout out to my sisters Tiffany, Toria, and Jennifer as well.

My aunt, Karen Hite, exposed me to the world of marketing as a teenager, which has tremendously changed my life. She continues to play a major role in my creative career.

My aunt Kimberly Lee has been a constant in my life, holding me accountable and keeping me on a path toward greatness. My Uncle Michael Lee, along with my father, has musically influenced me and guided me with unwavering wisdom.

I want to shout-out some very special people who keep me covered and accountable; my auntie SharRon Leonard, cousin Arnita Ealey, friends Danielle Dailey, Sylvia May and my brother Michael Stuckey.

Bishop Bobby Hilton spoke into my life, supported me, and provided an environment for me to grow my gifts as a teenager. He was my pastor and spiritual leader for eight years.

Richard Bedford has looked out for me in countless ways. He’s the true definition of a supporter. We share a rich history, and he provided business opportunities that helped me grow.

Mad Max taught me the value of hard work, pushing me out of my comfort zone in the urban club and printing business. I had to step up and learn how to run things.

JJ Hairston and James D. Robinson, Jr. are industry icons who gave me my humble start in the music business. They opened doors for me to work with many others in the industry, and I will never forget them.

Jordan Brooks, who is one the MOST selfless human beings and brothers I know. He has been a constant friend.

Dr. Victor S. Couzens, under whose leadership I served for 13 years, provided a platform for creativity, equipped me spiritually, and launched me into leadership. His progressive approach ignited my creativity and opened many opportunities in broadcasting, marketing, and production.

Pastor Brian Monford and I crossed paths at a divine time, and he remains a constant support system for me. I am grateful to be connected to him and honor him deeply.

Nikki Smith introduced me to the mainstream entertainment business. Her wisdom is unmatched, and I will always love and cherish her.

My current pastors, Terrance and Crystal Lackey, are amazing people. Words cannot express how I feel about them. They are my spiritual parents, keeping me accountable and guiding me with wisdom. They played a major role in reviving my passion for creativity when I wanted to quit.

TONS of people in the city of Cincinnati and beyond have made significant contributions to my life that I will never forget! One day I will acknowledge them all in a special tribute web series.
