Hi Holly, what principle do you value most?
In my business, customer service and quality of product is what I focus on most of all. I feel it is important to treat others as you would want to be treated which is why I put so much emphasis on customer service. If I can make someone’s day a little better by helping them solve a problem and do it with a smile on my face then I feel like my day was a success. When it comes to quality of product, when a business gives a product out, no matter how expensive it is, that product should reflect the quality of service and product you will receive if you hire them. If a product falls apart the first time you use it, that will reflect poorly on the business and its brand.

What should our readers know about your business?
Parrot Promo Essentials is a 2nd generation women-owned and family-owned business. We focus on marketing through promotional items, silkscreen, and embroidery. When we work with businesses, we take the time to get to know them and their goals. We really want to help find the perfect product that will share their message and represent their company. When uniforming their team, we work closely with leadership and marketing to keep their employees on brand and professional. Over the years we have had to adapt the apparel and products we offer. We take the time in the beginning of each year to learn about all the trends and new products for that year. We share what we learn with our clients to make sure they are also staying on top of the latest and greatest with their employees and customers.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Being in Dayton I love the convenience of the city and how close and easily accessible everything is. It is a must when visiting Dayton to check out Riverscape as well as take in a Dayton Dragons game. I do enjoy walking around our outdoor mall, The Greene, located in Beavercreek as well.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My mom, Kim Massie, founded our business, Parrot Sports Gear. She dedicated all her extra time to make sure the business would be around for many years to come. Thanks to her effort and dedication we will be celebrating 30 years of business in 2025.
