Meet Isaac Gordon | Owner/Talent Agent – Breakpoint Booking (New Legacy Enterprises)

We had the good fortune of connecting with Isaac Gordon and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Isaac, what is the most important factor behind your success?

My team!

Hands down, the company would not be where it is today without the work of my team and the agents who have helped me build the company to this point. I can look back and give so many credits, even to those that didn’t stick around and eventually went off to do their own thing. Those folks were with me in the early years and were integral in helping me build our foundation.

Breakpoint Booking was founded through the collective effort of aspiring talent managers and agents. We all just wanted to learn and low and behold the company grew. I remember sitting at a table in Philadelphia, in Fishtown, at a spot called Frankfort Hall. My team had grown to 6 or 7. This was pre-Breakpoint. I had a feeling back then we were on to something. There was just an unquenchable thirst to succeed. When you look at who we are, everything from company name, our logo to aesthetic it was all envisioned from a hive mind.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?

We are a boutique talent agency. We are based in North Hollywood, CA but mostly everyone, including me, works remotely. We have agents based in Southern California, Ohio, NYC, Texas, Salt Lake City and NJ/Philadelphia. We book and route tours all across the globe but most of our business is done in the US. We’ve been around officially since 2018 and we have a sister company called WeAreMonsterEnt that provides talent management, distribution and artist services. Both companies fall under an umbrella company called New Legacy Enterprises. New Legacy Enterprises was founded by me as part of my thesis project while attending Full Sail back in 2012.

Breakpoint Booking prides itself as a client first agency, an extension of ‘the team’ working directly with talent and/or their representation to grow their live business. Our focus is not just on breaking new acts, we work with legacy acts to help them get back to that breaking point. If a client is looking to reinvent, reestablish, perfect their signature talk or grow on the ground from local to global we have been deemed the right place.

We were the first agency to book and represent acts such as Tank & The Bangas, Benny The Butcher, Lost Dog Street Band, Harry Mack and The Shindellas. A few others past and present include; Janet Jackson, Keke Palmer, Kenny Lattimore, Too $hort, Goapele, Rome Streetz, Bilal, Warren G and Asher Roth. Our comedy clients have credits ranging from SNL and late night TV to Netflix and HBO. In August, we launched our public speaking department to service clients such as Iskra Lawrence, Brandon Williams and Clarissa Burt.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.

My favorite spots in the entire state of Ohio?! I love food so let’s talk about that. I’m from Akron so I guess I’ll throw Swensons in there although I’ve heard it’s not the same anymore. I will also throw Rizzis Pizza from Copley in there. Northeast Ohio is the land of the chain restaurants but I do love King Fish and those family of restaurants.

As for general spots, kinda tough to answer. I’m a shopper so I’ll point out Crocker Park and Strongsville Mall. When I lived in Beachwood, OH we spent a lot of time at Pinecrest and Legacy Village. Edgewater park is my favorite Lake Erie spot.

That’s about all I can think of outside of Cleveland Browns stadium where I’d love to spend literally every home game Sunday if I could! 🙂
