We had the good fortune of connecting with Lamikia Larue and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lamikia, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
We wanted to start our own business because we have always been passionate about creating something that truly reflects our values, skills, and vision. We believe in the power of entrepreneurship to not only offer personal fulfillment but also to make a meaningful impact. By starting our own venture, we can pursue our passion, solve real problems, and have the freedom to innovate. It’s about taking ownership of our future, having control over our work, and building something that positively influences the community around us.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
What I love most about my nursing career is the ability to heal and help people in the stage of recovery that they are in. What set me apart is the love that I have for each and every patient that I come across everyone is like family. The way that I got here is through experience and different opportunities to help me appreciate the gift that I have for healing and helping people. This is easy for me because I feel it is my calling and each day that I get up and go to work it does not feel like work. It feels like an opportunity to make a difference in someone’s life. The lessons that I have learned along the way is to never judge a book by its cover, always respect the journey that someone has gone through to get to where they are. I want the world to know that with more love there is less turmoil in the world and you can never go wrong if you lied in love. My brand is based in love, respect, and healing.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to thank The Nonprofit Organization Survived to Live for Women in Recovery Organization for cultivating the vision for us to start this path into Sober Living. Also like to shout out NLDP (Neighborhood Leadership Development Program) for giving me the confidence to become a Neighborhood Leader
