We had the good fortune of connecting with Liz Farmer and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Liz, what matters most to you?
The most important thing in this industry is honesty and transparency. There are many first timers that need information and rely on my knowledge and expertise to give them the best results. Money isn’t the end goal, happy clients are. I put the quality of my work first and that gives me the privilege of having many repeat clients and so many new referrals.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Vivid Glow Mobile Spray Tans started as an idea to give people a quality spray tan while being in the comfort of your own home. No more running out of a salon hoping no one sees you in your ‘spray tan outfit’, if you know you know. What makes me unique is the ability to work best with my client’s schedules regardless of how busy they are. Whether it’s 6:00 AM or 9:30 PM, I can help my clients get the glow they want.

Building to this point was not easy. It took a lot of trials and a lot of failures. The most important part is to learn from each and every stumble and get back up and make it better next time. Learning from your mistakes is the most important part of any career and growth is the best thing that comes from making mistakes.

I am most proud of the results I provide my clients no matter their skin tone or ethnicity. Every single tan is completely custom, and I have learned, through training and mistakes alike, how to make every spray tan look natural with a long-lasting result.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
There are so many fun things to do around Buckeye Lake, but here are my absolute favorite places to go. First things first, you have to treat yourself to an amazing meal with even better cocktails at Hereinafter Cocktail Tavern. The menu gets updated with new items so it’s never boring and the atmosphere inside is incredible. Not to mention the 5-star cocktails, to die for!

Weekends at the lake are busy, so a good breakfast is a must. Hometown Hotdogs has some of the best breakfast in the area and being located in Millersport, you can take a quick walk to the next block for an amazing cup of coffee at Millersport Coffee. Summer Saturdays are meant for boating, and boat rentals are so easy with Buckeye Lake Boat Rental. Located at a local bar & restaurant, Copper Penny Lakeside, it’s so easy to get on a pontoon with a few friends and hang out on the water for an amazing time. Stop by any of the local bars located on the water for live music and a unique atmosphere at each one.

After a long day on the water, nothing beats a good meal with an awesome band at Papa Boos. I love being able to sit outside and see the water and listen to music to end the night. It’s a family friendly atmosphere with a sand volleyball court to keep the kiddos entertained! When you go, you have to try the Street Corn Dip and the Zucchini Fries. The best way to end a long day on the lake!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’ve been so blessed to have so many supportive people in my life and career, but three people stand out. First and foremost, my amazing husband. He gave me the confidence in myself to pursue starting my own business and has been my rock every step of the way. He’s been my biggest fan and #1 supporter since day one and I’m so grateful to have him in my corner. My dear friend Beth, owner of Destination Wellness of Licking County. She has been such an amazing friend and mentor and has welcomed me into her beautiful health and wellness studio with open arms. She is the most supportive woman I have ever met and I’m beyond grateful for her. Finally, my girl Julia of JLee Life Photography. There is something special about a client that becomes a friend, and I’m so blessed to have met her. Her continued support and kindness are something that can never be repaid and I will forever cherish her friendship.
