Meet Seth Vaill | Co Owner of The Rialto Theatre and Musician.

We had the good fortune of connecting with Seth Vaill and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Seth, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Nate (my brother and co owner of The Rialto Theatre) and I began performing music in 2004. We came out with a few albums played numerous shows and travelled quite a bit. We started recording and mixing our owns songs. Throughout those years we wanted to create an avenue for our band and other bands to be able to record and release their music. We found a building in Akron OH where we could offer Artists and Bands a opportunity to Record, Mix, Master, and Release their project in one location, which would help with costs. Once we started gaining momentum with the Studios we were able to create a live music venue, The Rialto Theatre, which now holds both. We have a program now where Artists and Bands are able to record their music and use the proceeds from the release show to pay for Studio Time. Now that The Rialto Theatre has been around since 2015, we have ventured into holding multiples shows each week whether it be Music, Theatre productions, Comedy, Poetry and Arts Shows.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
This kind of a 2 part question for us. We started out as a Musician / Creative, traveling the country and playing music with our band and band mates. However, this transformed into us to becoming business owners of The Rialto Theatre and being a part of the efforts to bring Kenmore Blvd to its full potential by revitalizing the area and giving its community opportunities to be a part of a movement of bringing Music and Arts to the area.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
There are a quite of few really great businesses right around The Rialto Theatre. Here is a quick list of cool places to see and eat. Srina Tea House and Cafe, The Center Dance and Yoga Studio, Kenmore Comics and Games, The Guitar Department, Pierre’s Pizza, Buzzbin and other multiple bars and food opportunities. Too many to count!
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
We would like to Thank our Family and Friends for their continued support. We would like to thank the Akron and Kenmore Community and its organizing for believing in the efforts and mission of bringing Music and Arts to our community.
