We had the good fortune of connecting with Vidi Studios and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Vidi Studios, any advice for those thinking about whether to keep going or to give up?
How do I know whether to keep going or give up? Well to me it’s not really an option. I’ve already given up multiple times on my art and art career. But I’ve realized that, thats not really an option. Art will follow me wherever I go because I enjoy creating, and getting the countless things in my head onto paper. I thought I could never make a career out of it several times. But now I’ve just accepted that it is apart of me. And there is no giving up.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My art is ever changing, I try to focus on coming up with styles unique to me all the time. In 2023 I experimented between character development and art exercise’s with Themed based Mandala’s. Mandala’s are spiritual images with radial symmetry, very popular in India and with henna art. This year in 2024 I am selling the Mandala’s as commissions based on the theme the commissioner asks for and I am creating a Supernatural Romance Graphic Novel based off of Greek/Roman Mythology of Arachne called “My Fair Arachne”.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I’m from Michigan, and there is a lot to see here. If I were to plan a week long trip, I would recommend visiting the Upper Peninsula during the Spring, Summer or Fall. In the winter its just too harsh. There is a wonderful fresh water spring called Kitch iti kippi that is just beautiful. Lots of camp grounds and hiking trails available. And the city of Marquette is a wonderful college town with plenty to eat and coffee shops. Did I mention you’ll be surrounded by the Great Lakes? Lake Superior, Lake Michigan, and Lake Huron surround the Upper Peninsula.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
There are a lot of people I could credit for my advancement, and how I came to be who I am today. One of my very first supporters on Instagram is Myles Brown @justacrazyillustrator on instagram. He has motivated me and really taught me how to navigate the artist world on instagram. Without his influence I wouldn’t be where I am today.
