Lately I’ve been thinking a lot about this quote from Lewis Carroll’s Alice in Wonderland:
(Alice) “‘Would you tell me, please, which way I ought to go from here?’
(The Cat) ‘That depends a good deal on where you want to get to,’ said The Cat.”
In other words, how can we get where we’d like to go if we don’t know where that is? It’s good advice for all sorts of scenarios, but I’ve been considering it a lot in reference to my art, and especially art as a business.
