When I think of the word “balance” I think of everything getting equal time or carrying equal weight so that it “balances” out and I don’t subscribe to that.. Instead, I operate from the concept of overall life harmony. Harmony, by definition, is a pleasing, orderly arrangement of parts and that’s how I approach my life. It’s not about dividing hours between work and personal life, but about giving each area of life – work, relationships, health, creativity, restht, so on and so forth, — the attention and energy it needs, when it needs it so that life feels good to me at each of its different phases.
