I am inspired by so many great hard-working successful YouTube/internet public figures who create and post amazing content about toys, action figures, and comic books. What inspires me the most is not something, it is two people, and that would be my parents. My parents inspire me because of what they have built and what they have created right at their own property. They both inspire me in different ways and so I will explain why. My dad, Tate has inspired me by showing what he has built and what he has learned, he bought this land when it was just a field and has built everything. That includes the house we live in, the barn we store things in and build things in, the pavilion for their wedding venue, and also for the venue the Bourbon Cabin and the Ladies Chalet. I think first and foremost, I’m inspired by music and occultism. Those are the threads tying all of my art together. I’m also inspired by the femme experience. I’ve always been obsessed with the space where femininity meets rage and wrath. Think lace and chains, silk dresses and swords, a woman from a Pre-Raphaelite painting wearing corpse paint. To name some more specific inspirations, I’m really inspired by hair metal, gothic literature, visual kei, Victorian era sentimentality, video games, cemeteries, and religion (I am not religious but am fascinated by the ways people practice devotion).
