What value or principle matters most to you?

In our view, values and principles are the foundation upon which our lives, careers and relationships are built. So, we asked folks we admire to open up to us about the values and principles that matter most to them.
I have two; authenticity and integrity. No one can do what you or I can do which is the beauty of authenticity. To be authentic is to not only be who you uniquely are but it also requires you to accept all that you are. It requires the on-going and ever evolving process and journey of self-discovery because life is full of changes that can influence how you show up in the world. It can be nuanced and messy at times because it can also require unlearning and re-learning but at the end of the day, authenticity matters the most because it guides me to and through my purpose. Working with really good people is the foundation of everything I do in business. As I get older, more seasoned, that is my number 1 principle the matters the most, working with good people. Talent and skill are essential, but it’s the integrity, collaboration, and shared values that truly drive success. In my business, customer service and quality of product is what I focus on most of all. I feel it is important to treat others as you would want to be treated which is why I put so much emphasis on customer service. If I can make someone’s day a little better by helping them solve a problem and do it with a smile on my face then I feel like my day was a success. When it comes to quality of product, when a business gives a product out, no matter how expensive it is, that product should reflect the quality of service and product you will receive if you hire them.
