We had the good fortune of connecting with Beth Hall and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Beth, maybe we can start at the very start – the idea – how did you come up with the idea for your business?
I was working in the LA and Chicago markets and realized how different business was conducted in the Midwest/ Southeast. Our region has the best talent pool. To be competitive industry-wide our talent needed education about the industry and they needed to elevate training.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I LOVE MY JOBS!! I did not set out to do what I do. My three children showed potential and wanted to pursue the entertainment industry. I could not find what I needed so we went to LA. There they found success ands I found what was needed at home. Who knew it would be a career?
So I started a training center. love meeting new talent who are full of hopes and dreams. I am grateful that I can see what needs to be done to help arm them with the tools they need to reach the stars. It brings me the greatest joy. I have a knack for detecting that special sauce within someone.
Once you train actors they need an industry standard agency to represent them. I found a perfect fit with The Helen Wells Agency. So now I run ACTORS CENTER FOR TRAINING!
What I want people to know: if you can’t find it – create it. If it’s not what you want- make it what you want it to be, If you want it to be more than a dream– do it then live it. It’s never too late and jumping into the deep end is so much more fun than easing into it!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
The best thing about Ohio is that the options are endless. I would start south and move north. I would start the day in OTR in Cincy having waffles at Taste of Belgium followed by some shopping in the OTR and people watching in the park. I would let my guest pick between the Zoo and Kings Island but either way a must stop at Mama Rosa’s for pizza or Skyline for Chili.
The next day I would spend at Hocking Hills- hiking and spending a day outdoors.
Then, I would head north to Columbus and make day of the SHORT NORTH. I love the shops and restaurants. There is always some great national act in town as well. I would let my guest pick between the Franklin botanicals– or look at the Native American burial grounds in Chillicothe.
Then CLEVELAND! I love Little Italy for dining and dessert! I think you can’t miss the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame but exploring the downtown architecture is a must! I would then hit one of the small municipalities like HUDSON or Hamilton.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Shout out to JoAnn Fregalette Jansen who told me I could and should go for it. Sharon Ford and Ali Ferda– my Ohioan queens who have stuck with me since way bay in the 2010’s! Lisa Blancato and Dennis Erwin for making visions become reality. Bonnie Shumofsky Bloom for digging my energy and partnering with me in my endeavors to help talent get to the next level. My husband, children and mom/dad– for everything!
