We had the good fortune of connecting with Marschaleine and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi marschaleine, why did you pursue a creative career?
I pursued a creative career because I felt in my heart to do so. I tried everything else, but music always came back to me. I tried everything besides music and it never fulfilled me. I felt empty without it. Some could say I was running from the call, but I feel as though God reeled me back in from running and taught me how to step in faith not only in my career but in my life as well. So to re answer this question, I pursued a creative career because God told me to do so not only that I chose to do this. It’s a daily decision to wake up and do this everyday, but I’m reminded of Ephesians 3:20 that says God is able to do exceedingly and abundantly above all that we could ever ask or think according to the power that works in us. I’m pursuing this career with the mindset that I’m not doing this on my own! He’s moving through me.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
What sets me apart from others is that I love to connect with others through my sound. making them feel how I felt as I wrote the song. Touching those who may have been going through a lot. Becoming an artist was never easy but I learned to push through and hold onto the fact that I’m meant to reach a lot of people on a global level. which is so awesome to see and think about from time to time! So if you listen to my music you’re listening to someone who relates to you and what you go through as we face life in general.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
First and foremost I’d like to thank God for the opportunity to be able to do this right now. Without Him there is no me. I’d also like to thank my family and friends for being such a great support system throughout the years I love y’all so much! I would also like to thank the wonderful collective I’m in Sonorous Wave for not only being another support system for me as a member, but a pillar in the community in my hometown Charlotte, North Carolina!
