Meet Tony Palmer | Founder, CEO & Community Builder

We had the good fortune of connecting with Tony Palmer and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Tony, what inspires you?
I’m inspired by purpose, and for me, that starts with my relationship with God. He’s given me passions and abilities that I’m learning to cultivate, and watching them grow into something meaningful inspires me every day. It’s about more than just personal fulfillment—it’s about using those gifts to impact the lives of others. That’s where my drive comes from, knowing that these talents can spark change far beyond myself.
My marriage is another huge source of inspiration. Being married to my beautiful wife for almost six years has been one of the greatest challenges and joys of my life. It’s a constant reminder of the responsibility and growth that come with true commitment. Every day, I’m working to be the best husband I can be—not by the world’s standards, but by God’s. That journey of accountability and growth stretches me in every way possible, and that personal development shapes everything I do.
Fatherhood also inspires me deeply. Being a father to my daughter keeps me humble, learning, and striving to be the best role model I can be. It reminds me that everything I do is laying the groundwork for the next generation—my daughter, future children, and all those I impact through my journey. The lessons I’ve learned as a father and a husband keep me showing up, never settling, always striving to be better.
My big three that inspire me—my God, my wife, and my kids!
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My work with building We The Outsiderzz over the past year and a half has been a transformative journey, both personally and professionally. As the founder and CEO, I’m dedicated to building connections that transcend typical interactions. Our mission is to create a space where people feel safe to share their true selves, a mission that’s deeply rooted in my own experiences.
What sets me apart is my unwavering commitment to authenticity. I believe in the power of vulnerability, not just as a concept, but as a lived experience. My life hasn’t always been easy; I’ve faced significant challenges that have shaped who I am today. The loss of my father at a young age was a defining moment. It thrust me into a world where I had to confront my feelings head-on, and in doing so, I discovered a passion for helping others navigate their own struggles.
Throughout my journey, I’ve learned that true growth comes from facing adversity. Building We The Outsiderzz has been an uphill battle, filled with obstacles that have tested our resolve. We’ve navigated production challenges, dealt with unexpected setbacks, and hack/loss of our biggest platform in our YouTube channel (which had just hit 20,000+ views with only 5 podcast episodes uploaded). Each challenge has been a lesson in resilience, pushing us to adapt and evolve. It hasn’t been easy, but the reward lies in the impact we’re making.
What excites me most is witnessing the ripple effect of our work. When individuals step into their truth and feel empowered to share their stories, it creates a community of support and understanding. I’m particularly proud of the way we’re helping people, especially men, embrace their vulnerabilities and engage in open conversations about mental health and personal growth.
Beyond the business aspect, I want people to know that We The Outsiderzz is a reflection of my personal journey. It embodies my belief in the power of community and connection. We’re not just building a brand; we’re creating a movement that encourages the world, starting here in Columbus, OH.
So, as we continue to grow and face new challenges, I remain committed to our vision. We’re just getting started, and I’m excited about the future.
We invite everyone to join us on this journey and believe that together, we can redefine what it means to connect and inspire one another.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my brother were visiting the city, it would definitely be a dope week! We’d start at some point at Roots Natural Kitchen. It’s the perfect spot for a vegetarian like myself, and it sets the tone for some good eats throughout the week—keeping it wholesome before we go crazy with the food a little later!
Next, we’d probably hit BrewDog. I appreciate their menu options, and the vibe is always relaxed and welcoming—shoutout to Aunty Tab for inspiring my plant-based journey too, she didn’t suggest these places but I do want to say “because that’s my business” after I say each restaurant lol. Later in the week, I’d make sure we make it to Brassica, that’s definitely top 5. Food is good, and you cant go wrong there.
When it comes to activities, I’m a small settings kind of guy, so we’d probably record a podcast episode together, and kick it with my brother Adrian. Catch a hoop session, and we’d probably round out some evenings with game nights at my place, laughing and kickin’ it. Plus, we’d sneak in some workouts to balance out all the food too!
If there’s a good concert happening during the week, we’d go. Hulvey will be in the city soon so that would definitely be the move. The trip to the city wouldn’t be complete without a home-cooked meal from my favorite chef—my wife. It would be the perfect way to reflect on everything and start planning for future visits.
For me, it’s all about the good food, dope conversations, and exploring what makes this area unique together. That’s how I’d ensure my brother has an unforgettable time!
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’d like to start by dedicating this shoutout to the same core sources of inspiration in my life: God, my wife, and my daughter. God’s guidance and grace have been the foundation of everything I’ve done, and I wouldn’t be where I am today without His constant direction. My wife, Brittianie, has been my unwavering rock and greatest supporter, pushing me to grow, challenging me, and keeping me grounded in all the right ways. My daughter, Nylah, inspires me to be the best version of myself, reminding me daily why I strive for greatness—for her and for our family.
In addition to my family, I want to give a special shoutout to someone who’s played a huge role in my journey without even knowing it—Eric Thomas, or ET. He’s my GOAT in the speaking and value-adding space, the first person I gravitated toward when I was trying to find myself. Watching and listening to him over the years has felt like having a mentor, even though we’ve never met (yet). The way he speaks life, pushes boundaries, and leads with passion has profoundly impacted me.
I also have to acknowledge CJ, ET’s right-hand man. Together, they’ve influenced me significantly—not just through their words but also in the way they operate. I carry a mix of both of them in my approach to life and business. From ET, I draw raw passion and a relentless drive to motivate and inspire others. From CJ, I’ve learned the importance of strategy, execution, and branding that makes a vision a reality. Together, they embody the balance I strive for—heart and hustle, vision and execution. This shoutout is dedicated to both of them, thanking them for their obedience to their calling, the sacrifices they’ve made, and how God has used them to inspire me. Their impact on my journey has been profound, and I’m grateful for everything they’ve contributed to the world.
Lastly, I also want to dedicate this shoutout to Gillie and Wallo, two figures who I don’t just see as mentors but as my OGs. Their authenticity, rooted in their experiences from the inner city, has shown me the power of embracing my true self. While ET influenced me heavily, his message and perspective are rooted in church, which is important to me and how my mom raised me. But Gillie and Wallo speak to the part of me that I got from my dad and growing up throughout the Northside of Columbus. They remind me that I don’t have to fit a mold or present a perfect image; all I have to do is be me. They’ve taught me that vulnerability is a strength and that sharing my raw, unfiltered story can connect me with others on a deeper level.
Their journey, both personal and business, has also provided a blueprint for what’s possible, especially with We The Outsiderzz. They’ve demonstrated how a platform can grow into something powerful, transcending the idea of not just being a podcast but a media company. Their commitment to authenticity and their impact on our community inspire me to lead with my full self. Even though I haven’t met them (yet) either, I’m grateful for their example, and I also want to dedicate this shoutout to them, as they’ve played a significant role in shaping my vision and approach to life.
