We had the good fortune of connecting with Trinity Senroh and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Trinity, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I started thinking of Senroh as a concept when I was around 13 or 14, fueled by my passion to take my 2D art pieces and take it a step further by turning it into something tangible. The idea of clothes popped in my mind first like just printing the artwork onto clothing (which I have done before) but that wasn’t hands on enough for me at the time, then accessories popped in my mind at around 17 and I began just experimenting slowly.

The name “Senroh” holds deeply rooted significance as it is my birth last name backwards (Horne) with my middle initial (S) in the front. It symbolizes not only my heritage but also my personal journey of self discovery and creative expression. Senroh quickly evolved into more than just a business; it became a sanctuary—a safe haven where I could nurture and expand my creative horizons.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My journey into the world of art and entrepreneurship began at a young age, but it wasn’t until 2018, at 16 that I truly began taking myself more seriously. I started off by creating cover art for SoundCloud artists, I found myself gradually honing my skills and developing a signature style. The commissions I received provided me with the perfect opportunity to experiment and grow artistically.

Working closely with musicians like C2D and Joony on their projects, such as ‘MixD Emotions’ and ‘Joony the Mixtape,’ allowed me to immerse myself in the music scene and even inspired me to create music of my own, initially under the name Mosspit and later as SENROH.

My personal artwork is deeply influenced by my experiences of isolation and identity struggles in my early life. Drawn to mystical themes and anime, I’ve always been captivated by the idea of bringing my imagination to life. Painting, in particular, became a form of therapy for me, transporting me to otherworldly realms where I can create characters and alter egos with intricate backstories only I know fully for now.

The accessories I craft are an extension of my painting and vice versa, each piece infused with its own unique story and meaning. SENROH, it’s evolving into its own world—a world where craftsmanship and community are to be valuedWhile my initial plan was to venture into clothing, I’ve realized the importance of patience and quality craftsmanship. I refuse to compromise on the integrity of my creations, even if it means waiting until I can find & afford the right artisans.

My project Peakypike which I started on in 2022 has brought me such a sense of a community in Cleveland, OH and now I have connections from Peakypike far as Washington State. The coolest thing that has happened so far this year is that the pikes have most recently been featured in a Reckless Release, a magazine in Australia which I never would’ve imagined when I began just from making little star creatures on my mothers dining room table lol.

Starting off definitely wasn’t easy but I also had the support of artists I made cover art for / worked with in the past which was so heartwarming. Markiee and C2D actually purchased the first ones I ever made. I think the most difficult part is doing it all alone which I do realize now that I do need help & that was what I needed to come to terms with and stop trying to control everything and allow myself to be helped. I am still without help in the managerial aspect but I am getting hands on experience right now which is great as I do want to learn more about the business world sometimes its hard to balance.

This journey so far has taught me valuable lessons in perseverance, creativity, and the importance of staying true to my values, even in the face of financial & mental challenges/ set backs. With each new skill I acquire and each piece I create, I’m one step closer to realizing my dream of building a brand that not only reflects my artistic vision but also contributes positively to the world around me which I believe it already has.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Okay for the first day we would go out to eat to catch up at brassica because its soooooo good! Throughout the week we would have to hit up Humanheartstudios and see what events they had going on, Jaycloudstudio and take a dance class to really loosen up our energy, we would go to the movie theater in Pinecrest because I love that area. For more food I would have us go to Cleveland Vegan & The Vegan Doughnut Company.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I first want to thank myself for pushing through the first year of isolation and grinding it out cause looking back it was not fir the weak haha & of course I have to mention the people around me in the very beginning who always verbalized that they liked what I was doing and they were actually excited to see the new things I’d make! I also have to mention Humanheartstudios In Cleveland where I had the first opportunities to vend which were such important moments especially being a new business which is very niche lol.
